Hedin Mobility Group strengthens its aftermarket business through acquisition of OnWheels Bildemontering

Hedin Mobility Group expands its presence in the value chain with the state-of-the-art car dismantling facility in Western Sweden.
MÖLNDAL, SWEDEN, February 17, 2023 –– Hedin Parts and Logistics AB, a subsidiary of Hedin Mobility Group, has acquired OnWheels Bildemontering AB and its parent company OW Förvaltning och Fastighets AB, which owns the property where the company conducts its operations.
OnWheels Bildemontering is a state-of-the-art 3,200 square meter facility at the forefront of dismantling cars and recycling parts in a sustainable way, including the latest technology for environmentally friendly and safe handling of fluids. The facility, which currently employs six people, opened in autumn 2020 and is located in Getinge, Western Sweden.
Hedin Mobility Group is already active in car dismantling through its majority ownership in Danish Koed. The acquisition of OnWheels Bildemontering is a further step in the Group’s focus on a strong aftermarket and spare parts business with a circular mindset. Hedin Parts and Logistics, which was acquired by Hedin Mobility Group in mid-2022, is the hub of the Group’s spare parts distribution, which is now further strengthened by the acquisition of OnWheels Bildemontering.
OnWheels Bildemontering will give Hedin Mobility Group’s workshops greater access to spare parts, while the company’s business of selling used parts to private and corporate customers will continue as before.
Anders Hedin, founder and CEO of Hedin Mobility Group, said:
“We are pleased to welcome OnWheels Bildemontering to Hedin Mobility Group and look forward to scaling up the business in line with the high demand for recycled parts that we see ahead. Car dismantling is a key part of the value chain that is becoming increasingly important for both cost and sustainability reasons. In OnWheels Bildemontering we have a company at the forefront of this development, which will provide significant synergies with both our workshops and our spare parts business in general. It puts us in a good position to continue operate a resource-efficient business model.”
Fabio Ishaq, majority owner and CEO of the OnWheels Group, said:
“I am very pleased that the company I founded and built will have more air under its wings now that it belongs to a major company like Hedin Mobility Group. Hedin’s broad operations and aftermarket expertise will give Onwheels Bildemontering a whole new opportunity to expand, take advantage of the facility’s technology and, with the help of our dedicated employees, take the business to the next level. I wish all colleagues and the new owner every success on the journey ahead.”
The business of OW Förvaltning och Fastighets AB and OnWheels Bildemontering AB is transferred to Hedin Parts and Logistics as of today, February 17, 2023.
